Better Buddies Launch

Wow what a big week for the Grade Prep and Grade Six students!!

On Monday 17^th February 2020, the Grade Prep and Grade Six students met their buddies for 2020.  The Grade Six students helped the Grade Prep students create their buddy hat whilst having a chat to get to know one another.  Following this the students had a shared lunch.

On Tuesday 25^th February 2020, the Grade Prep and Grade Six students along with their teachers and families launched the Better Buddies Program for 2020.  Cana Catholic Primary School is a proud participant of the Alannah and Madeline Foundation Better Buddies program.  The purpose of this program is to teach students the values of caring for others, friendliness, respect, valuing difference, including others and responsibility.  A framework will be followed to create positive behaviour, as well as building students’ self-esteem, connectedness, social skills, trust and sense of community.  For more information visit https://www.amf.org.au/what-we-do/better-buddies/ .
