Victorian Schools Garden Program

Earlier in the year, Cana Catholic Primary School applied for a Scotsburn Nursery- Seedling Tray Package Grant from the Victorian School Gardens Program.  We were successful in our application and as a result received trays of a variety of seedlings.  Additionally, we received a donation from Bunnings Warehouse Taylors Lakes for gardening soil and gardening equipment.  Earlier in Term 4, Mrs O’Shea and Ms Caruana worked in collaboration with members from the Mary MacKillop group to re-develop our planter boxes by planting a variety of in-season seedlings (located near the Grade 1 building).  Together we will continue to maintain these and hopefully watch them grow to produce fruit and vegetable products.  We thank the Victorian School Gardens Program, Scotsburn Nurseries (Keysborough) and Bunnings Warehouse Taylors Lakes for your generous donations.  We look forward to continuing our gardening adventures at Cana Catholic Primary School!
