Grade 4- Zoo Excursion

On Monday the 7th November, the Grade 4 students, teachers and some parent helpers ventured to the Werribee Park Open Range Zoo for our excursion. In inquiry this term the children have been learning about vulnerable, endangered and extinct species and what humans can do to make a positive impact on animal survival. At the zoo we went on a safari bus to see animals such as giraffes, rhinoceros, zebras and more! The students also participated in an educational session with a zoo teacher looking at how animals have adapted over time. In the afternoon we had a chance to explore the zoo and see many wonderful and unique animals! A huge thank you to our parent helpers who came along and helped us out for the day.
