Our Parish

Sacred Heart/Emmaus Parish was established in the early 1950s to look after the many post war migrants moving into the area. As different areas of St Albans were developed, new Parishes were formed – St Paul’s Kealba, Holy Eucharist St Albans South, Resurrection St Albans West, and Mary MacKillop Keilor Downs. Fr John O’Reilly, who was Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Parish from 1972 – 2017, was instrumental in these developments. In August 2017, Fr Maurie Cooney took over as Parish Priest.

We are

One Parish, Two Churches, Three Catholic Primary Schools:

Sacred Heart, Emmaus and Cana

Our philosophy which underpins all we do is;

WE PRAY together at Mass,

WE WORK together in Ministry and

WE SHARE together through Thanksgiving.
